കോഴിക്കോട്, മാറാട്.മഴക്കെടുത്തിയിൽ ചോർന്നൊലിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളിൽ ദുരിതമനുഭ വിക്കുന്ന കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് ആശ്വാസവുമാ യി *മാറാട് ജനമൈത്രി പോലീസും. ടി എം സി – തെരുവിലെ മക്കൾ ചാരിറ്റിയും* ചേർന്ന് മാറാട് ബീച്ചിലുള്ള രാജീവ്‌ നഗർ കോളനിയിലെ 12 ഓളം വീടുകൾക്കാണ് ചോർച്ച അടക്കാൻ താർപോളിൻ ഷീറ്റ് ആദ്യഘട്ടം മുകളിൽ വിരിച്ചു നൽകിയത്. 50 ഓളം ചോർച്ചയുള്ള വീടുകൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്._ _*ജനമൈത്രി പോലീസും തെരുവിലെ മക്കൾ ചാരിറ്റി സംഘടനയും* ചേർന്നാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കിയത്, ഇവിടെയുള്ള വീടുകൾ പലതും ദ്രവിച്ചു കോൺക്രീറ്റ് അടർന്നു വീണ് ചോർച്ച വന്നത് മൂലമാണ് ഇത്രയും ദുരിതത്തിലാവാൻ കാരണമായത്._കഴിഞ്ഞ മഴയിൽ പലവീടുകളിലും വെള്ളം കയറിയിരുന്നു.
മാറാട് ജനമൈത്രി പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷന്റെ ചരിത്രം* നാം അയവിറക്കുമ്പോൾ ആരംഭ കാലത്ത് അന്നത്തെ SI ആയിരുന്ന ഉമേഷ് കോഴിക്കോട് മുൻ കലക്ടർ PB സലീം. അന്നത്തെ MLA, ആയിരുന്ന വി കെ സി മമ്മത് കോയ എന്നിവരടക്കം പലരും ചേർന്നുള്ള ഒരു ടീം വർക്കിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി സ്പർശം പദ്ധതി പോലെ യുള്ള ക്ഷേമകരമായിട്ടുള്ള പല പദ്ധതികളും അവിടെ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയിരുന്നു._ _ഇതിനാൽ ഒക്കെ തന്നെ ആ പ്രദേശത്തുകാരുടെ ഒരു അത്താണിയായി മാറാൻ ഈ ഒരു പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷന് സാധിച്ചു.ഇന്നും എടുത്തു പറയത്തക്ക പല കാരുണ്യ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും രഹസ്യവും പരസ്യവുമായി ഇവിടെ ചെയ്ത് വരുന്നു._ _ഇന്നത്തെ പരിപാടിയിൽ വീടുകൾക്കുള്ള താർപോളിൻ ഷീറ്റ് മാറാട് IPSHO N. രാജേഷ് കുമാറും കോഴിക്കോട് നഗരസഭ കൗൺസിലർ വാടിയിൽ നവാസും ചേർന്നു കൈമാറി.
