കോഴിക്കോട് .അലിഗഡ് സർവ്വകലാശാലയുടെ സ്ഥാപകനായ സർ സയ്യിദ് അഹമ്മദ് ഖാന്റെ ഇരുന്നൂറ്റി അഞ്ചാം ജന്മദിനവും, സർസയ്യിദ് അവാർഡ് ദാനവും കോഴിക്കോട് അളകാപുരി ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തിൽ നടന്നു.എഴുത്തുകാരനും, ചിന്തകനും, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വിചക്ഷണനും, ക്രാന്തദർശിയുമായ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ സ്വർണ്ണ ലിപികളാൽ എഴുതപ്പെടേണ്ട മഹത് വ്യക്തിയായ സർ സയ്യിദ് അഹമ്മദ് ഖാൻ.. സാമൂഹിക, സാംസ്കാരിക, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ,രാഷ്ട്രീയ രംഗത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഗതിവിഗതികളെ മാറ്റിമറിച്ച ഒട്ടേറെ പ്രഗത്ഭർക്ക് ജന്മം നൽകിയ അലിഗഡ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയുടെ സ്ഥാപകനാണ്.
